One of Disney’s biggest Korean streaming hits is getting a second season, and actress Go Youn Jung is returning to a role that helped bring the superhero drama “Moving” to international audiences. But after the original series’ success, the actress says she felt pressure to live up to viewers’ expectations.

Released in 2023, “Moving” became the most watched Korean original on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ globally during its first 7 days, measured by hours streamed, according to Disney. The 20 episode series, adapted from a popular South Korean webcomic, follows teenagers who inherit extraordinary abilities from their parents, former secret agents whose hidden pasts threaten their families.

The show’s success introduced a Korean take on superhero storytelling to American streaming audiences. Now, with production on its second season underway, Go’s return offers the first season’s viewers a familiar character to follow as the story continues.

Go, who plays Jang Hee Soo, a high school student with extraordinary healing abilities, discussed her return in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Korea for its November 2026 issue.

The South Korean actress acknowledged that producing a sequel is difficult even after a successful first season. She said she understood the expectations surrounding the new installment and was determined not to disappoint viewers.

Her concerns extended to her own performance. After spending time away from the character, Go initially worried that she might struggle to portray Hee Soo as convincingly as she had in the original series. Once filming began, however, she was surprised by how naturally she slipped back into the role, describing the experience as though her body still remembered the character.

The return comes after a successful year for Go, who starred in 2 other Korean dramas released in 2026, “Can This Love Be Translated?” and “We Are All Trying Here.” Despite those achievements, she said her growing career had not automatically given her greater confidence.

Now in her seventh year as an actress, Go believes confidence develops gradually through experience. She also acknowledged that acting remains a continuous learning process, with each new skill revealing another area she has yet to master. Even at 70, she said, she expects there will still be more to learn.

Yet the most meaningful part of returning to “Moving” was not simply revisiting her character. It was reuniting with the actors who had helped bring the original series to life.

Go described feeling deeply moved when she saw her former castmates together again. The experience reminded her of the bond they had developed during the first season and left her hoping that “Moving” would continue for years to come.
