Jisoo, a member of the globally popular South Korean K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, is preparing to release a new solo single after breaking into the Billboard Hot 100 with British pop star ZAYN.

The singer will release “ADDICTED” on October 30 as the second advance single from her debut full-length solo album. The release follows her U.S. chart debut with “EYES CLOSED,” a collaboration with ZAYN that marked an important milestone in her career outside BLACKPINK.

The upcoming single offers another opportunity to gauge Jisoo’s appeal as an independent recording artist in the U.S. music market. While BLACKPINK has established an international following, Jisoo’s latest solo projects are testing how that recognition translates into success under her own name.

BLISSOO, the South Korean entertainment agency managing Jisoo’s solo career, confirmed the release on October 27. The announcement followed three days of promotional activity, including a logo video, teaser images and a preview video shared through her official social media accounts.

“ADDICTED” follows “CLICK,” which was released in September as the first advance single from her upcoming album. While “CLICK” explored the emotional connection that naturally draws two people together, the agency said the new track would introduce a different concept and showcase another side of Jisoo’s musical identity.

Jisoo released her solo EP “AMORTAGE” in 2025 before teaming up with ZAYN for “EYES CLOSED,” which entered Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart.

With her first full-length solo album on the way, Jisoo is moving into the next phase of her individual music career. Whether “ADDICTED” can build on the attention generated by her collaboration with ZAYN will be an important measure of her ability to sustain momentum beyond BLACKPINK.
