South Korean police have charged a Brazilian woman after she returned to the home of Jungkook, despite being subject to a court-ordered no-contact measure, authorities said Friday.

Police in Seoul’s Yongsan district said the woman, in her 30s, was booked on suspicion of violating the country’s anti-stalking law after attempting to approach Jungkook’s residence earlier that day. The order barred her from coming within 0.06 miles of him.

The incident was reported by a security guard who detected the woman through closed-circuit television monitoring near the residence, police said. After reviewing the footage, officers determined that she had breached the no-contact order and proceeded with additional charges.

The woman had previously been booked twice last month after visiting the same location, where she allegedly left mail and rang the doorbell, according to police. Those incidents led to charges including trespassing. Following those cases, Jungkook’s representatives requested a formal no-contact order, which was in effect at the time of the latest incident.

Jungkook is a member of BTS, the globally successful South Korean pop group, whose international profile has drawn intense attention to the private lives of its members. South Korean authorities have increasingly relied on anti-stalking laws in recent years to address repeated and unwanted approaches toward public figures.
