Naver founder and Global Investment Officer Lee Hae-jin met with senior Saudi officials this week to explore cooperation in digital finance and advanced technology, including potential joint projects involving stablecoins and data-center development.

According to Naver and Saudi state news agency SPA, Lee visited Riyadh on Nov. 18 (local time) to attend Cityscape Global 2025, one of the world’s largest exhibitions focused on construction, architecture and real estate.

During the event, Lee held talks with Majid Al-Hogail, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration in innovation and digital transformation. The two sides also examined potential partnerships on stablecoin initiatives tied to real-estate and economic sectors, as well as plans to develop next-generation data centers in the kingdom.

Both parties agreed to expand research and development cooperation in emerging technologies and to support broader science-and-technology exchanges between South Korea and Saudi Arabia.

Naver also showcased its digital-twin, artificial-intelligence and cloud-based urban-management technologies at Cityscape, demonstrating how advanced digital systems can be applied to real-estate development and smart-city operations. Earlier this year, the company introduced the digital-twin platforms it built for the Saudi cities of Mecca, Medina and Jeddah as part of discussions on expanding digital transformation across the kingdom’s construction and urban-planning sectors.
