South Korean powerhouse T1 has once again cemented its legacy in esports history, defeating KT Rolster 3-2 in a thrilling final at the 2025 League of Legends World Championship, held at the Dong’anhu Sports Park Arena in Chengdu, China, on November 9.
The victory marks an unprecedented third consecutive Worlds title for T1 — a feat no other team has achieved in League of Legends history.
Led by legendary mid-laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, T1’s roster — including Moon “Oner” Hyeon-jun, Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, and newcomer Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon — delivered a world-class performance that captivated fans around the globe. For Doran, it was the first Worlds championship of his career.
Following the victory, Faker expressed humility and sportsmanship toward his opponents.
“I’m satisfied not just because we won, but because the game itself was really fun,” Faker said after the match. “KT played very well. Even though we won, I want to thank KT for giving us such a great match.”
He also took a moment to thank fans for their unwavering support.
“I’m always grateful to our fans. Playing in such a big arena is a privilege, and I’ll keep doing my best,” he added with a smile.
With this win, Faker has now claimed his sixth Worlds title, further solidifying his reputation as the greatest player in League of Legends history and one of the most iconic figures in global esports.
