Paris Baguette Surges in North America with 135 New Franchise Deals in Q2 — Up 89.5% YoY

South Korean bakery giant Paris Baguette, operated by SPC Group, is showing explosive growth in the North American market by rapidly expanding its franchise network. The brand’s momentum is being attributed to a multi-pronged strategy that is beginning to yield tangible results, including a recent deal with a franchisee who plans to open 16 stores across the U.S.

According to Paris Baguette’s U.S. division on July 24, the company signed 135 new franchise agreements in North America during the second quarter of 2025 — a staggering 89.5% increase year-over-year. Industry analysts say this validates the brand’s aggressive market expansion efforts.

One key driver of growth is Paris Baguette’s comprehensive support system for multi-unit operators, which spans site selection, store design, operations, training, and marketing. This end-to-end support has helped attract new partners and accelerate franchise growth.

Another major growth engine is the strengthening of local infrastructure, notably the recent groundbreaking of a $165 million manufacturing facility in Burleson, Texas. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the plant is part of a long-term strategy to streamline the supply chain and support national expansion across the U.S.

Paris Baguette has also positioned itself competitively by emphasizing spacious store formats and flexible layouts. With average store sizes exceeding 3,000 square feet, locations are designed for both dine-in and takeaway customers. The product lineup — from morning pastries and lunch sandwiches to evening desserts and cakes — enables stores to generate revenue throughout the entire day.

The company has effectively capitalized on the unique characteristics of the U.S. bakery café market, which is valued at over $18 billion. Analysts note that Paris Baguette’s stylish brand image and robust infrastructure give it a strong advantage in pursuing rapid growth opportunities.

Since entering the U.S. market in 2015, Paris Baguette has set an ambitious goal to operate over 1,000 locations across North America by 2030.
