OurHome has unveiled its vision to become Korea’s No. 1 comprehensive food company by 2030, achieving $3.6 billion in revenue and $216.8 million in operating profit.

On the 20th, OurHome held the ‘OurHome Vision 2030’ event at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, announcing its ‘New OurHome’ vision. This marks the first official event since OurHome became part of Hanwha Group.

Kim Dong-seon, vice president of Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, who led the acquisition of OurHome, has joined as vice president in charge of future vision. Kim has decided to forgo his salary until the newly integrated OurHome stabilizes its operations.

OurHome aims to strengthen its core businesses—institutional catering (school and corporate meal services) and food ingredients—while developing new growth engines like restaurant operations to become Korea’s leading integrated food company.

The company also plans to expand into global markets, focusing on its key sectors: large-scale meal services, home meal replacements (HMR), and restaurant businesses.

Synergies with Hanwha will be maximized. Leveraging OurHome’s food market competitiveness, the company will collaborate with Hanwha’s retail and food-tech services. In particular, it will expand kitchen automation and other tech-driven businesses in partnership with Hanwha Robotics and Hanwha FoodTech, both of which are focusing on advanced technology development, including robotics.

Kim plans to significantly enhance OurHome’s market competitiveness through cost reductions via an expanded value chain, optimized production and logistics, and world-class kitchen automation technology. As the executive overseeing the retail, service, and machinery sectors of Hanwha Group, Kim envisions OurHome as “not just a profit-driven company but one that drives positive change in the world.”

Citing Hanwha Group founder Kim Jong-hee and Apple’s Steve Jobs, Kim stated, “Unlike merchants, entrepreneurs must contribute to society through their businesses. We will pursue meaningful and valuable ventures rather than chasing profits alone.” This philosophy influenced Hanwha’s decision to acquire OurHome.

Moving forward, OurHome’s new business strategies will reflect Kim’s vision. He emphasized, “With a mission to deliver health and joy through great meals, we will achieve our goals. We will strive to make OurHome remembered as a company that positively transformed global food culture.”

Kim Tae-won, CEO of OurHome, stated, “We will leap forward as Korea’s undisputed leading food company. By developing globally exclusive brands, we aim to become No. 1 in overseas sales within the industry and lead the globalization of K-food, including food service.”
