Samsung Electronics is expanding its customer service footprint in North America with the opening of a new call center in Mauldin, South Carolina — a move aimed at strengthening its Samsung Care network and supporting local job creation.

According to WISTV, Samsung Electronics America officially opened the 14,000-square-foot facility at 701 Brookfield Parkway in Mauldin. The center can accommodate about 150 employees and includes a cutting-edge training lab designed to enhance staff expertise and improve customer support capabilities.

The new facility will serve as a key hub for Samsung Care, the company’s customer service organization, and is expected to generate positive economic ripple effects for nearby restaurants, retailers, and service providers.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on October 22, with local and state officials in attendance. Samsung said the new investment is part of its broader strategy to expand customer service infrastructure across North America.

This isn’t Samsung’s first major service hub in South Carolina. Back in 2009, the company’s Greenville call centerreceived the prestigious Center of Excellence certification from Purdue University — an honor granted to only about 8% of call centers worldwide. At the time, Samsung stood out by maintaining a U.S.-based operation rather than offshoring, employing more than 700 people in Greenville and earning recognition as a “most-loved brand” among American consumers.

The new Mauldin facility continues that legacy. Building on its earlier ISO 9000-level certification, Samsung plans to leverage the site’s advanced training systems to further enhance customer experience and reinforce its brand trust across North America.
