South Korea’s Mirae Asset Securities, a leading global financial investment firm, is harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain through its Indian subsidiary, Mirae Asset Sharekhan, to drive innovation in wealth management amid the rapid evolution of India’s capital markets.

Madhusudan Warrior, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Mirae Asset Sharekhan, told TechCircle in an interview on October 9 that the firm’s technological approach “is not just about digitalization but about creating tangible value for clients.”

“Since our inception, Mirae Asset Sharekhan has built its identity around innovation and future-oriented thinking,” Warrior said. “AI allows us to anticipate investor needs and deliver deeply personalized experiences. Technology, in our view, is the foundation for meaningful customer value, not merely a tool for speed or scale.”

Warrior highlighted AI, machine learning, and advanced data analytics as the three pillars of the company’s tech strategy. These tools, he said, enable the firm to analyze customer behavior with greater precision, make data-driven decisions, and enhance client engagement.

Mirae Asset Sharekhan uses machine learning to detect patterns, predict risks, and automate complex processes. This approach improves risk management and compliance efficiency, while also supporting more personalized investment recommendations.

AI is also being deployed to enhance portfolio analysis and minimize emotional bias in investment decisions. Warrior added that the company has built a robust AI governance framework to ensure responsible and ethical technology use.

“As trade automation grows, most transactions are now executed within microseconds,” he said. “This has dramatically reduced latency and human error, while significantly improving execution efficiency.”

Recently, the company overhauled its trading interface, introducing real-time performance analytics and interactive dashboards. It is also preparing to roll out AI-powered investment insights that tailor recommendations to each investor’s profile and risk appetite.

Security remains another focus. The firm has implemented machine learning–based anomaly detection systems, biometric authentication, and enhanced web experiences to bolster both security and accessibility.

“Even during surges in trading volume, auto-scaling and proactive capacity planning help us maintain stable, uninterrupted services,” Warrior noted.
Mirae Asset Sharekhan’s efforts underscore the growing role of AI and blockchain in India’s fast-changing financial ecosystem — where global players are increasingly blending technology with personalized wealth strategies to stay competitive.
