(YMTC), China’s top flash-memory maker, is also preparing for a public listing, alongside signs that Chinese firms have accelerated breakthroughs in developing domestic deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography equipment to bypass Western trade restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, the developments fueled expectations that Beijing\u2019s semiconductor industry is rapidly achieving self-reliance, threatening to turn a once-reliable tech cycle into an aggressive price war in global markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The broad market capitulation prompted starkly mixed reactions among South Korea\u2019s influential retail trading army. On popular online investment forums, posts reflected escalating anxiety, with some investors lamenting steep portfolio losses and expressing dread that the market had yet to find a definitive bottom. Conversely, a faction of retail dip-buyers viewed the historic single-day drops in Samsung and SK Hynix as a rare buying opportunity, betting on a sharp, short-term technical rebound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
