K-pop star G-Dragon has formally confirmed that BigBang will reunite for a 20th-anniversary comeback this year, marking a milestone return for one of South Korea’s most influential pop groups.

According to agency Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon made the announcement during his first solo fan meetings held Feb. 6–8 (local time) at the KSPO Dome in Seoul’s Olympic Park. Addressing fans, he said the group is preparing a comeback to mark two decades since its debut and added that he and the other members share the same anticipation “both as members and as fans.”

“With spring approaching, please take a short rest along the flower path and wait,” he told attendees, hinting at upcoming plans without disclosing specific details.

The three-day fan meetings drew about 40,000 fans, spanning multiple generations—from teenagers newly discovering his music to longtime followers who experienced BigBang’s peak years. The turnout underscored G-Dragon’s enduring appeal and BigBang’s continued cultural relevance.

Performing on a 360-degree open-stage setup, G-Dragon delivered songs including “A Boy,” “Who You?,” and “Take Me,” while also hosting interactive segments such as Q&A sessions and fan giveaways.

He said the events were designed as a more intimate gathering for fans who were unable to secure tickets for his tour, describing the meetings as akin to a “family reunion” and a long-held wish. “It was more enjoyable because we were together,” he said, ending with a message of affection to the audience.

G-Dragon is scheduled to continue the fan meetings overseas, with stops in Yokohama on Feb. 13–15 and Bangkok on Feb. 21–22 (local time), as anticipation builds for BigBang’s long-awaited anniversary project.
