Hyundai Motor Group has announced a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to spearhead the development of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the future of mobility. The agreement, unveiled during CES 2025 in Las Vegas, will see Hyundai integrate NVIDIA’s cutting-edge computing platforms and generative AI technologies into its mobility ecosystem.

The collaboration is set to enhance Hyundai’s operations across Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), autonomous driving, robotics, and smart manufacturing. By leveraging NVIDIA’s enterprise-grade AI tools and digitalization platforms, Hyundai aims to accelerate innovation and redefine the mobility landscape.

Pioneering AI Applications Across Industries

Hyundai plans to use NVIDIA’s Omniverse platform to develop digital twin applications for factory simulations. This initiative will focus on improving manufacturing efficiency, enhancing product quality, and reducing operational costs. The Omniverse-powered simulations will enable Hyundai to optimize processes by creating accurate virtual replicas of its physical facilities.

Additionally, the partnership extends to robotics, with Hyundai utilizing NVIDIA’s Isaac robotics platform to design and deploy AI-powered robots. The collaboration will also facilitate the development of a virtual simulation environment to advance safe and reliable autonomous driving technologies.

“AI is the key to the future of mobility, and this partnership will help us build a smarter, safer, and more connected ecosystem,” said a Hyundai Motor Group spokesperson.

Transforming Autonomous Driving

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang highlighted the company’s latest innovation, the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform, during CES 2025. Built on the powerful AGX Thor system-on-chip (SoC), the platform integrates generative AI capabilities with advanced autonomous driving features.

“Autonomous driving represents the next great revolution in mobility,” said Huang. “To achieve this, we need three core computing platforms: NVIDIA DGX for AI model training, Omniverse for simulation and synthetic data generation, and DRIVE AGX for in-vehicle computing.”

The DRIVE Hyperion platform combines advanced SoCs, safety systems, and Level 2+ autonomous driving technology into a comprehensive solution. Automakers such as Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, and Volvo Cars have already adopted the platform, underlining its impact on vehicle safety and performance.

Expanding a Proven Partnership

Hyundai Motor Group and NVIDIA’s relationship dates back to 2020, when they began collaborating on vehicle infotainment systems. This new partnership builds on their history, expanding the scope to include cutting-edge AI solutions for mobility, manufacturing, and robotics.

“This collaboration marks a pivotal step in shaping the mobility solutions of tomorrow,” said Rev Lebaredian, NVIDIA Vice President of Simulation Technology. “Together, we are creating smarter vehicles, more efficient factories, and advanced robotics systems.”

The Road Ahead

With this partnership, Hyundai Motor Group is positioning itself at the forefront of AI-driven mobility innovation. As more details of the collaboration emerge, the automotive industry anticipates groundbreaking advancements that will redefine the future of transportation and smart manufacturing.

Hyundai and NVIDIA’s combined expertise signals a bold vision for a safer, more efficient, and interconnected mobility era.
