Samsung is set to launch its Galaxy Buds3 FE wireless earbuds this September, bringing premium audio and AI features to the mid-tier segment at a competitive $149.99 price point. The Fan Edition builds on the existing Galaxy Buds3 lineup with upgrades aimed at everyday convenience, positioning Samsung to capture a larger share of the global earbuds market dominated by Apple and Google.
The earbuds will be available starting September 5 in the U.S. and Europe, with a later rollout in South Korea by the end of the month. Retaining the signature “blade” design, the Buds3 FE improves sound quality and integrates Samsung’s Gemini AI assistant. Users can activate the AI hands-free using “Hey Google” commands or by pressing the earbud’s blade control, providing quick access to schedules, messages, and phone functions without touching their devices.
Audio performance has been enhanced with deeper bass, clearer treble, and upgraded Active Noise Canceling (ANC) technology to reduce distractions in daily life. For the first time outside the premium Buds3 line, the FE model also supports real-time voice translation, while Auto Switch allows seamless transitions between Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.
Available in versatile Black and Gray colors, the Buds3 FE underscores Samsung’s aggressive push in the mid-tier audio market, directly challenging Google’s Pixel Buds and Apple’s entry-level AirPods. For U.S. consumers and tech investors, the release highlights Samsung’s strategy to combine AI-driven convenience with competitive pricing, expanding its footprint in a highly lucrative segment of the wearable electronics industry.
